This imposing weapon is a masterpiece of arcane engineering, consisting of a reinforced barrel, a sequence of enchanted induction coils, and a precision guidance assembly capable of accelerating a dense metal rod to devastating velocities. Rather than firing traditional ammunition, Faustinus’ Last Argument launches a sharpened metal projectile with such force that few materials can withstand its impact.
You can use your action to make a ranged weapon attack with this weapon. On a hit, the target takes 3d6 piercing damage as the accelerated projectile tears through armor and flesh.
The projectile does not immediately stop upon striking its first target. If another creature is positioned directly behind the initial target along the same line of fire, the projectile continues forward. If the attack roll equals or exceeds the creature’s AC, that creature takes 3d6 piercing damage, and the projectile continues onward.
This process repeats, with the projectile passing through additional creatures until one of the following occurs:
- there are no more creatures directly in the projectile’s path,
- or the projectile loses sufficient velocity to continue.
